Cheryl Metcalf - Director

As a joint Director of Metcalf Group (SA), Cheryl manages the Retirement arm of the business - Adelaide Retirement Services and in particular Grange View Estate Retirement Village.

Cheryl is a hands on Director, who has managed retirement villages for over 15 years. Experienced in all facets of Retirement Villages and the current Act. In addition to the retirement arm of the business, Cheryl also manages the finances of the entire business, not only the Retirement arm.

Owen Belton - Senior Project Administrator

Combining a Certificate IV in Building and Construction and a Bachelor of Finance Owen’s experience in his current position as Senior Project Administrator / Project Manager puts him at the forefront of Metcalf Group (SA). This position includes tender submissions, liaising with contractors on a daily basis, all contract administration duties, management of sub-contractors and site supervisors. His experience in account management for large Government organisations along with a large multinational electrical wholesaler including account management of large mining, food production and manufacturing companies, producing cost saving initiatives and meeting budget constraints for the clients is called upon regularly.

Darren Hayes - Project Manager/Administrator

Areas of Expertise

Darren’s expertise covers all construction and Project Management, Architectural and Engineering specifications, procurement of contractors and building estimations and relevant costings. He has excellent communication skills and really enjoys working with people from all trades across the board.

Darren’s start in the building industry was as an Apprentice as a ceiling fixer, this is where he honed his skills.  Darren started his own building business in 2000, which covered, residential renovations, extension, project management, supervision, estimating and budget control.  He is extremely organised and thorough.

Louis came to us on a work experience basis and has proven himself to be a valuable asset to our business and is now a full time employee. His experience on the Civil and Structural side of construction is invaluable. He has worked on the South Road Update Project as part of the Geotechnical Team and also the Construction of a low rise commercial building as an assistant Structural Engineer.

Janet Owen - Administration/Accounts Assistant

Professional Experience

Janet is permanent part time and assists with the accounts receivable and administration duties. She has taken on various roles within the business and made it her own - for example the Spotless Maintenance Orders. Janet manages the Spotless Portal and all the relevant paperwork for these jobs and ensures the team provide her with the correct and up to date information.

Andrew Di Bacco - Project Supervisor

Andrew joins the team as a Project Supervisor with over 30 year in the Building Industry.  He has extensive experience supervising multi residential and medium density construction projects, along with commercial projects.

  • Oversee all construction activities including project approvals and coordination with trades and project managers
  • Develop and maintain crucial relationships with sub-contractors, Architects and clients

Andrew has been involved in the building industry in various roles since completing an Associate Diploma in Architecture at the Australian Institute of Technology in 1988. His Architectural background, experience and qualifications demonstrate his ability to manage and supervise multiple projects concurrently.  He has owned and worked in his own building company and has completed over 300 homes, with involvement in all areas, from sales, administration, marketing display homes, quality control, estimating and the day to day running of a building company.
